Deleurme, Detulleo Multi-Points in Close Loss

TULSA, OK- The Wichita Thunder lost 4-3 to the Tulsa Oilers at the BOK Center on Tuesday night.

Joel Hanson scored for the second time in three games, getting help from newcomer Jason Deleurme, when he roofed a backdoor pass beyond Kevin Armstrong just 2:02 into the game.  Tulsa then scored three unanswered goals to take a 3-1 lead, including a total of three points by Oilers' forward T.J. Caig.  Two of the three goals allowed were on the power play.  Brandon Kaleniecki made it a one-goal game, floating a long shot past Armstrong at 17:45 in the first.

Jake Riddle battled for a rebound before slipping through the five-hole of Scott Campbell at 16:18 in the third to give Oilers a 4-2 lead.  Deleurme netted the Thunder's third goal of the night at 19:07, but Wichita was unable to tie the game in the final 53 seconds.

Scott Campbell took the loss, saving 22 of 26 shots.  The Thunder went 0 for 6 on the power play, while Tulsa was 2 for 5.  Glenn Detulleo finished with two assists.  Chris McAllister and Mark Adamek picked up fighting majors.  Wichita scored first for a third straight game.  Kevin Armstrong stopped 31 of 34 for the win.

The Thunder returns home on Friday when they host the Arizona Sundogs at 7:05 p.m.  For tickets, call the Thunder office at (316) 264-GOAL.
