Wichita, KS- The Wichita Thunder today announced the signings of defensemen Adam Bartholomay and Justin Hofstetter, as well as forwards Travis Dunstall and Matt Whitehead.
Bartholomay joins the Thunder from the SPHL’s Mississippi Surge where he notched 20 points in just 26 games last season. Over his four-year pro career, Bartholomay has also played in the IHL, ECHL and CHL. He registered 20 points in 55 games for the Tulsa Oilers in 2009-10.
A second-year pro, Hofstetter played four seasons of college hockey at R.I.T. amassing 14 goals and 42 points over four seasons. He played overseas last season for Herentals HYC in Holland, scoring 23 points in just 28 games.
Dunstall joins the Thunder from Ryerson University in Canada, where he scored 15 points in 18 games last season. Prior to turning pro, Dunstall played six years of junior hockey and enjoyed a phenomenal final season, racking up 42 goals, 82 points and 185 penalty minutes in 53 games for the AJHL’s Grande Prairie Storm in 2009-10.
Whitehead played in the SPHL the last two seasons, piling up 39 goals and 98 points in 92 games with the Pensacola Ice Flyers. Prior to turning pro he played four seasons of college hockey at SUNY-Oswego, tallying 63 points over four seasons.
