Wichita, KS- The Wichita Thunder made a flurry of roster moves today in preparation for opening weekend.
The Thunder traded defenseman Craig Cescon and forward Matt Whitehead to the Bloomington Blaze in exchange for future considerations and waived defenseman Adam Bartholomay. The Thunder also placed forwards Dustin Donaghy, Chris Greene and Robin Richards on injured reserve.
Wichita now has 18 active players on the roster for this weekend’s opening games. Newcomers include forwards Alex Bourret, Thomas Beauregard and goaltender Adam Russo. They join key returning stars Matt Robinson, Aaron Davis, Daniel Tetrault, Travis Wight and Andrew Martens.
The Thunder will open the regular season at home this Friday versus the Rapid City Rush and this Saturday versus the Allen Americans.
