Wichita, KS (Feb. 11th) - Ian Lowe and Head Coach Malcolm Cameron reached a few milestones on Saturday night in the Thunder's 4-2 loss to Colorado at INTRUST Bank Arena.

Lowe, who was playing in his 300th game in a Thunder uniform, recorded his fifth goal of the season and became just the sixth player in team history to crack 200 points in Thunder blue. Cameron also hit a milestone, coaching in his 600th ECHL game.

Special teams proved to be a huge key in the opening frame as both teams cashed in on the power play. Luke Salazar fired a one-timer from the left circle to give Colorado a 1-0 lead at 3:51. Wichita answered as Lowe tipped home a point-shot from Macoy Erkamps at 10:11 and tied the game at one.

The Eagles took the lead for good at 13:28 when Shawn St-Amant put home a rebound past Drew Owsley to make it 2-1. Alex Bezile tacked on another on the power play with just four seconds left in the second period and made it 3-1.

Matt DeBlouw added his 11th of the season with 9:20 to go in the third as he picked the pocket of Matt Register, got a pass back from Louick Marcotte and fired a backhand under the bar. Wichita pulled Owsley for the extra attacker, but Matt Garbowsky found an empty-net to make it 4-2.

Wichita outshot the Eagles for the first time this season, putting 39 shots on net. The Thunder recorded a power play goal for the third-straight game against Colorado. Marcotte added an assist and has points in four of the last five games (3g, 2a). Owlsey suffers the loss, stopping 25 of 28 shots. Lukas Hafner earns his fourth win of the year, stopping 37 of 39 shots he faced.

Wichita went 1-for-5 on the power play. Colorado was 2-for-5 on the man advantage.

The Thunder remains at home on Wednesday, February 15th to face the Rapid City Rush at 7:05 p.m.
