Wichita is 0-0-0-0 vs. Atlanta

HEAD-TO-HEAD - This is the first-ever meeting between the Thunder and the Gladiators.

TODAY - Wichita heads to Atlanta today for the first time ever to take on the Gladiators. The Thunder grabbed a 3-1 victory on Tuesday night against South Carolina, which was the first of a four-game road trip. This is the first-ever meeting between the two franchises. Atlanta returns home after a four-game trip against Tulsa and Allen. The Gladiators have lost the last three with two of those contests coming in overtime and a shootout. After tonight, Wichita finishes its road trip with a pair of games at Greenville. Justin Buzzeo and Brock Higgs lead the Gladiators with six points each (1g, 5a). Wichita is led by Alex Krushelnyski (2g, 3a) and Jack Rodewald (2g, 2a).

THREE FOR THREE - Wichita trailed by one on Tuesday night heading into the third before mounting a comeback. Alexis Loiseau got things started four minutes into the frame. Matt DeBlouw recorded the go-ahead goal just past the midway point and Alex Krushelnyski topped things off with an empty-netter to give the Thunder a 3-1 win. In the team's two wins this year, the Thunder have trailed before scoring three and four unanswered goals (four vs. MO, three vs. SC).

BRICK WALL - Drew Owsley got the call last night and in his first pro start, he performed admirably. He made a terrific save early in the contest on a breakaway and kept the puck out during a scramble near the net. He stopped 32 of 33 shots en route to his first pro win.

KRUSHIN' IT - Alex Krushelnyski has made an immediate impact to the Thunder line-up since being assigned by Binghamton. The Los Angeles, CA native has five points (2G, 3A) in three games and had two points on Tuesday night. Krushelnyski is six goals shy of 50 for his career.

MULTI-POINT - Alexis Loiseau has had plenty of chances to find the back of the net in the first two games and Tuesday night, he broke through. His goal in the third period sparked the team's comeback and he added an assist on the final tally of the night. It was his first multi-point outing of the season.

GAME WINNER - Matt DeBlouw recorded the game winner on Tuesday, catching a feed from Gabriel Gagne and put it past Adam Carlson. DeBlouw has goals in back-to-back games and his first game winner of the season.

LUCKY 7's - Malcolm Cameron earned his second win as the Head Coach of the Thunder on Tuesday night. He is currently in seventh place all-time in wins (319) in ECHL history.

THUNDERBOLTS... Gabriel Gagne collected his first point as a pro on Tuesday night, assisting on Matt DeBlouw's game-winner...Chris Rumble has points in two-straight...Jack Rodewald has four points (2g, 2a) in three games...

ATLANTA NOTES - Miles Koules has two points (1g, 1a) in four games since being reassigned to Atlanta...Dalton Reum has appeared in three games since being traded to the Glads...Atlanta's last four games have been against the Western Conference...

AROUND THE ECHL - There is one other game today in the ECHL. South Carolina travels south to take on the Orlando Solar Bears.

UP NEXT - Wichita finishes up its four-game road trip with a visit to Greenville for a pair of games starting on Friday night.
